Founder of Frey Consulting

I built Frey Consulting around talented people.

I am Kristof Frey. Project management taught me how to deliver complex work. Coaching and developing people taught me why that work matters.

The founder story

I have managed projects since university.

I started as a producer on university media projects and continued at my first job as a floor manager in a poker club. Since then, I have led and supported events, campaigns, media publications, applications, web services, and organisational initiatives.

Organising work, building processes, improving teamwork, and achieving project goals have always been my passion. But the successful launch was never the part that mattered most.

The real reward was knowing that I had helped people bring their A-game—and that they felt proud of what they had achieved.

How the work evolved

From managing projects to developing people.

The consistent thread has been creating the conditions in which people can do strong work together.

The starting point

Learning to deliver through people

At university, I acted as a producer on our media projects. In my first job, I worked as a floor manager in a poker club. Both taught me the same lesson: outcomes depend on how well people, decisions, and moving parts are brought together.

The craft

Project management became a vocation

Organising events, building processes, optimising teamwork, and achieving project goals became the work I kept returning to—across campaigns, media, applications, web services, and organisational change.

The motivation

The real result is people at their best

The release or event was never the most rewarding part. What mattered was helping people bring their A-game, succeed together, and feel genuinely proud of what they had achieved.

Recognising potential

Talent is often visible before the job title catches up.

I developed a keen sense for recognising talent and latent potential. My role has often been to help capable people see the next version of themselves, then give them the structure, feedback, and practical opportunities needed to reach it.

Helped people build careers from entry-level positions into expert roles.

Supported marketing professionals as they transitioned into product management.

Helped individual experts prepare for and succeed in team leadership roles.

Built practical collaboration frameworks and management methods that help organisations develop their people.

People, Plans and Common Sense

Practical experience should become shared knowledge.

I publish case studies, frameworks, and practical resources on my blog, People, Plans and Common Sense. It is where I turn delivery experience into useful material for project leaders, managers, and people building better ways of working. I continue to publish weekly.

Why Frey Consulting exists

A platform for talent to create real value.

The company brings together opportunity, practical experience, expert guidance, and accountable delivery.

For organisations

Access capable people, not generic capacity

We connect organisations with talented professionals who are supported by practical methods, expert guidance, and a clear delivery framework.

For professionals

Build experience with real support

We give aspiring professionals opportunities to work on meaningful challenges while learning from established experts and developing sound delivery judgement.

For both

Create conditions for good work

The model is built around mutual value: organisations gain useful capability, while talented people gain the experience, coaching, and responsibility needed to grow.

The company

Built to help talent become trusted capability.

I founded Frey Consulting to provide a platform for talented professionals: giving organisations the opportunity to work with them while enabling aspiring individuals to gain practical experience and guidance from established experts.

Our ambition is not simply to place people into organisations. We help professionals understand the problem, apply sound project and business-analysis methods, work responsibly with client teams, and grow through delivery.

Organisations gain supported capability. Professionals gain a credible path to mastery. Both benefit from work designed to succeed.

Next step

Bring us the ambition—or the messy version of the problem.

Whether you need capable people, practical coaching, or a clearer way to deliver the work, the first step is understanding what success needs to look like.
